Delonghi Air Conditioners

Air conditioners work by extracting warm air from a room, cooling it and recirculating it back into the room. The hot air is typically vented out through an exhaust hose near a window. When looking for a Delonghi portable air conditioner one of the key considerations needs to be the cooling capacity, which should be matched to the size of the room it is being placed. The Delonghi Pinguino range is the brand’s specialist portable air conditioner range, and varies from 2.5 kW² to 3 kW², to cool rooms from 90m2 to 110m2. Featuring wifi connection capabilities, they have 24-hour electronic timers and thermostat features. If you need any help in selecting your Delonghi portable air conditioner then just call us on 0114 322 3663 to chat to one of our friendly experts.

Great dryer, really impressed with the quality. Item arrived promptly, would use Handryersuk again.

How to Choose a Portable Air Conditioner

One of the first things to ascertain is the size of the space the air conditioner will be cooling – this determines what power the air conditioner needs to be. Other things to consider is the noise level – if placed in a meeting room or office then the air conditioner cannot be overly noisy. Then there is added extras like programmes, remote controls, timers etc.

Power Vs Room Size

Power is measures in BTUs (British Thermal Units) or in kiloWatts. The power an air conditioning unit needs to be is dependent on the size of the room it is going in: the higher the BTU/KW the larger the room the unit is suitable for. For rooms up to 85m3 the ideal element size is around 9000 BTU or 2 - 2,5 kW. For bigger spaces, up to 100m3, better to choose units from 9000 to 12000 BTUs (2,6 to 3 kW).
