The Best Soap Dispensers in 2020

The Best Soap Dispensers in 2020 - Hand Dryers UK™

Soap dispensers have always been a popular product, but in the pandemic climate we now find ourselves living in – they have become even more popular.

This is most likely due to the fact they have multiple uses, they’re not just useful for soap! These dispensers can also be used for hand sanitiser, and have the ability to be placed in a range of locations. It’s important to be able to provide hand washing and sanitising facilities in a range of spaces, as this will help in the fight against the virus.

The ‘best’ soap dispenser will depend on the needs and requirements of each facility. We will look at a few categories that may affect your specific choice of soap dispenser.

This year’s best soap dispensers include:

Capacity

We have dispensers that come in a number of different capacities, which depends on the traffic in your chosen space or facility. In a higher traffic location, you’ll want a dispenser with a larger capacity, so that you’re not having to constantly refill it. And these large capacity refillable dispensers are usually the most cost effective and environmentally friendly option.

These dispensers are easy to refill and come with a lock to make it secure. A ‘large’ soap dispenser is in the range of 1L to 1.5L.

It’s also worth bearing in mind the ‘amount per pump’ from a dispenser. A 500ml dispenser with a 1ml per shot is going to the last a similar amount of time as a dispenser with a 1L capacity but a 2ml per shot.

The following dispensers are larger capacity units:

Liquid soap and sanitiser gel

There are number of factors to consider before filling a dispenser with alcohol sanitiser or gel. For example, you don’t want the dispenser’s valve to corrode from the alcohol or for the alcohol to evaporate out of the dispenser.

And the dispensers you may already have could be suitable for both your usual soap and sanitiser, but we would advise to err on the side of caution. Especially when you can now purchase dispensers that are 2-in-1.

The following dispensers can be used as 2-in-1 units:

Manual or automatic?

When you think of a typical soap dispenser, you probably think of one where you have to push a button or lever for product to come out, right? And your hands will of course still be clean as you wash them after you’ve come into contact with the dispenser. But sometimes there is cross contamination and not every person properly washes their hands, so this is where a non-touch or automatic dispenser comes in.

A no-touch dispenser provides even higher levels of hygiene, especially in this day and age, as the user does not need to come into contact with the unit at all.

The following dispensers are our automatic units:

Summary

The ‘best’ soap dispenser is very much dependent on you and your specific needs and requirements, thinking about the location, the users, and the traffic, to name a few things. You may need a larger dispenser for high traffic areas or a 2-in-1 dispenser so that it can also be used for hand sanitiser, or a no-touch unit for extra hygiene purposes.

It’s entirely down to you as the customer, and we are here to provide the options suitable and appropriate for you. And if you do have any other questions, then please do not hesitate to contact our team, who will be more than happy to help.
