A guide to the codes on a Delonghi air conditioner

A guide to the codes on a Delonghi air conditioner

We’ve written about the Delonghi Pinguino air conditioner units a lot recently. They are fantastic portable air conditioners for both domestic and commercial settings. They are made to be as ‘plug-and-play’ as possible. Setting them up is a breeze, and they need minimal maintenance beyond basic cleaning.

Having said that, it is still an electronic unit and errors still occur. So, this article is meant to be a quick guide on the error codes that can appear on the Pinguino air conditioner units, and what to do when you see them.

What does HL mean on a Delonghi air conditioner?

The HL error code on a Delonghi Air Conditioner means that the unit is full of water and needs to be drained. You can read a guide on how to do this here.

What does LE mean on a Delonghi air conditioner?

LE is Delonghi’s Frost Protection mode. When this code appears the unit is defrosting as some ice has formed. Once the defrosting is complete the unit should go back to normal operation.

What does LT mean on a Delonghi air conditioner?

On a Delonghi air conditioner the error code ‘LT’ stands for ‘low temperature’ and indicates that the unit is about to start its defrosting cycle. Normal operation should resume when this is finished.

What does PF mean on Delonghi air conditioner?

On a Delonghi air conditioner the code PF means there is a sensor probe failure. If this code has appeared then you need to refer to your nearest service center. You can find them here.

What does CF mean on Delonghi air conditioner?

The CF code on a Delonghi air conditioner indicates that you should check and replace the lime scale filter on your unit. You can watch the video below for more guidance on this.

And that should be it. If you have any more error codes on your air conditioner unit, then you can check the FAQs on the manufacturer’s website here, or call our experts on 0114 322 3663 or us our contact form and we’ll do all we can to help.
