How to refill a wall mounted soap dispenser

How to refill a wall mounted soap dispenser

Wall mounted soap dispensers are a fantastic feature in any commercial washroom. They improve hygiene, lower operating costs and when using design-led models can improve the aesthetics of the washroom or kitchen they are used in.

To keep them functional they will need some basic maintenance, which includes refilling them when they are empty. This blog will talk through the process of refilling your soap dispensers to make sure they are always functional.

NB - These instructions are meant as a ‘guide’ to most models, but there will be models that deviate from these instructions. If you get stuck then feel free to contact our customer service team and we’ll do all we can to help.

1. Open the soap dispenser

How to open a wall mounted soap dispenser? To do this check the bottom of the soap dispenser, behind the nozzle there will likely a lever of some sort. If you push / pull this lever while gently pulling the top of the dispenser then the unit should swing down from the top.

2. Refill the soap

When you open the unit there will either be an empty bag that needs removing, or an empty chamber that needs refilling. If there is an empty bag this will need disposing of. Once the unit is empty take the replacement bag and fit it where the old bag used to be. Make sure it is placed evenly and with no parts of the bag sticking out of the edges of the container.

If it is just an empty chamber then it should be a simple job of topping the soap up.

3. Secure it

Close the unit by pivoting it back into place. Make sure it is secure and not going to swing open on the next person to use it.

4. Test it

Now that it is full and secure, you’re good to test it. Give it a few pumps to draw the soap through, and ensure it is working. If not, repeat steps 1-3 and if there is an issue it should be obvious. We always recommend cleaning the surfaces on and around the dispenser – it’s inevitable that some excess soap will have spilled somewhere and this won’t look good to the next user of the facilities.

That is all it takes to refill your soap dispensers. It’s a simple process which is part of the strength of the products. As we mentioned at the top of the article, if you find yourself stuck, or if the soap dispenser doesn’t match the instructions, feel free to give our team of experts a call on 0114 322 3663 or contact us here

If you get very stuck, you might want to consider a new set of soap dispensers, and you can see our full range of these here
